Then Johan decides to push for more premium products and prices. I'm probably one of the few that agree with his strategy. We are slogging through the growing pains right now. The products are better than they've ever been and ATPs reflect the move up-market. But there lingers the perception that Cadillac isn't on par with the Germans, and in many ways they're not. But they are moving in the right direction, just takes time.

I see what you are saying now. I want Cadillac to succeed, I just was having trouble comprehending why the sales were seeing such sharp declines. I see now its quite the combo of things.

Interesting discussion. Around what point in the 20th century do you all think Cadillac began to be know as the world standard for luxury? And how did the brand accomplish that? The automotive world is vastly different than it was sixty to seventy years ago, but I still think it's something to ponder.

I would say Cadillac was really the standard for luxury probably from late 50s to early 70s

Speaking of Cadillacs of the 70's, I saw one of these on the road today and it looked brand new.

With Mustang information having made its way to the internet, I'm curious for which model year is the 6th generation Camaro refresh planned?

Thanks in advance.

I absolutely love older Cadillacs & would love to own one, but unfortunately I only see seniors & those who wish to be ghetto fabulous driving them. I'll wait until I'm older.

Quote:
Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne hasn't hidden his disdain for electric vehicles, but he would copy the Tesla Model 3 if it is successful, according to Automotive News Europe. If Elon Musk "can show me that the car will be profitable at that price, I will copy the formula, add the Italian design flair and get it to the market within 12 months," Marchionne told Automotive News Europe during FCA's annual meeting in Amsterdam.
And this is why nobody takes FCA seriously anymore.

Marchionne has been delusional for a long time. FCA could take Teslas, slap Fiat badges on them & they would sell 1/5 the volume on a good day.

Shout out to Porsche Racing for costing Corvette the win today. Sorry the 911 blows but I guess you gotta do what you gotta do to beat a much superior car.
