Help! The auto memory for the seats is missing from the menu?

My seat memory wasn't working so I went to turn it on in the "Settings" menu under the "comfort and convenience" menu and there was no "seat auto memory" button to turn on or off! Just chime volume. The dealer wanted to keep the car indefinitely to have GM link into the car but I didn't want to leave it. Has anyone dealt with this? I am hoping their is an easy way to reboot or get it to show up by doing it myself? Thanks!

Did they try disconnecting the battery?

I just keep mine set in number 1 to get in and 2 to get out. Can you still set those?

No, it keeps going back to some default setting. The dealer didn't try disconnecting the battery. Would that reset everything? I might try that.

Never tried the menu. I used the manual setting sequence in the user manual. No problems. You do have to hold the button down to get to the new settings (until the adjustments are complete) on the door panel.

I had an SS before and was trying to set the new car memory at the door and it wouldn't remember my settings so I looked up that I needed to turn on the memory on the data center deal. Then there wasn't even a listing for seats like the book said. I don't know why you'd even need to enable it. Just have it always programmable.

Update: This morning the menu for comfort and convenience had 4 or 5 items including auto memory! My wife was looking to change the color of the interior lighting and that was missing but the seat memory showed up! Now I will have to see if it stays?

As (bad) luck would have it, my car started doing this! Only "Chime Volume" in comfort and convenience.

Edit: It came back after switching the exhaust mode and restarting the car a couple times.

I'm guessing your car is manual, is so, try applying the parking brake, then look at the settings again, you may need to turn off the car first with the parking brake engaged, then restart before looking up the settings. The auto memory settings will not engage unless the parking brake is on.
