Not sure....My guess would be April or May to get a 2016.

Does it make a difference if it becomes a 2017 if you order too late?
The only reason I can come up with why it may matter is for incentives. |

They may rise in the next couple of months for the '16 MY, common for GM to do that, especially with a new model/generation, prices tend to start off lower, than rise a couple months after cars are delivered and on lots.

That is interesting and just reassures me why I made a good decision to order mine a couple months ago. It makes sense too. Get people in the camaro as fast as possible with incentives make the rest want it and then make your profit back. Good way to jump start a new model. Is their any proof of this happening? Just curious. |

I'm looking to acquire the car for invoice or less, so the MSRP rising a few bucks doesn't really matter to me. If it rises like the C7 did, then I would hope there are changes that substantiate the increase. |

Interesting, I didn't even think about this. This is my first car that I have ordered brand new (custom).
Guess, I'm glad I ordered it now instead of waiting till March or April. I probably would have been shut-out and have been forced to take one off the lot. Question: Is this a typical timeframe when a new car or new generation comes out, about 4 or 5 months you have to order it custom and than after that it's too late?

Anyone know the timeframe from order to delivery? About? If I wanted an April Delivery, order in Feb?

I have negotiated based off of invoice anyways so that would not change in the next 6 months then. |

Give yourself plenty of time and don't wait till the last minute to do it! Make sure you KNOW exactly what options and colors you want PRIOR to going to dealership. You don't want to have to change your order midway thru.

Sure, it may cost a little more and you may lose incentives, but you have a year newer model (which is good) and you will make a little more on the resale because of it. In each cloud there is a silver lining!

I just ordered a 2SS on 10/28 and the dealer said it would take 5 weeks. Good luck!
