The 6th Gen SS is already pretty damn fast out of the box. I say cosmetics.

I'd go a mix of both. Definitely lower the car, the wheel gap on these cars is ridiculous lol. E85 is also a must for cheap performance. It's what I'm doing to my car and I love it so far, mix of some performance parts and cosmetic.

Just plan your build out for the long run, right now all i need to do is port and polish the stock beads, get a MSD intake and I’m going to get that porter as wel, also a ported throttle body and at that point I’ll be FBO all motor ofcourse. Afterwards I’m going to turn to a new driveshaft and axles then get a rotary assembly for the procharger. It’s an addiction but just make sure if you go Performance that you have a strategy to it, I like cosmetics as it definitely makes the car look nicer but I also believe their is nothing needed to change on the 1LE so I haven’t bothered other then a drag pack.

Again just my 2 cents.
Yes i have future goals and that is why i will most likely go with a 416 up front because my plans are 1000+rwhp. i think i have a strategy anyway lol. but i am thinking of doing cosmetic first just to give the car some time, and let me get a little bored with it.

Keep in mind both cosmetic and performance mods are costly and will not bring anymore money (less in most cases) come trade in time. However, if you plan to keep the car for several years...it won't matter.

For my build I have followed the deals and sales from our vendors. So actually most of my stuff was cosmetic at first followed by performance then a few more cosmetic things. It's weird but it has worked out pretty well getting my car to the point I want it at.

Doing it this way, I estimate that I have saved at least $5K on all the mods I have done or bought this Winter.
