Wheel fitment questions
Wasup guys, hope you guys can help me out here. So I originally had purchased a 20x10 +35 offset for my 2017 Camaro ss. The wheel didn’t even fit (fronts) wouldn’t clear the strut. So do you guys think or have any of you guys tried a 20x9.5 +20 offset clearing for the fronts? Checked the wheel and tire size pages to see but it’s really unclear if it will clear. Don’t know how much mm will clear the strut or not. Thanks

Yes, they'll fit, with a fair amount of room to spare.

Are you guys sure this will fit with a +35 offset? The tool at wheel-size.com says the rim will be 29 mm closer to the strut, it's a lot.
I have 285/35/20 fronts on 10" MRR 017 wheels with a +23 offset, and it's a tight fit for the wheel (I know my tire is taller than usual, but does clear the rubber nub with a 3mm spacer). OP, I guess a spacer may be in order if you want to keep everything you've got. A 20x9.5 or even a 20x10 with a +20 offset will certainly fit, though.

would a 20x9 +35 offset wheel wrapped with 275/30 fit on the front & 20x10.5 +35 305/30 on the rears ? I don’t think i did enough research before pulling the trigger on this new set up :( smh lol
thanks in advance |

It will have 0.09" more backspacing than a stock SS 1LE front wheel and 0.37" more backspacing than the base 20x8.5" wheels. So it's going to be very close to the strut, but if you don't have MRC you may be able to get away with it. OTOH, a 1/8-1/4" spacer up front would solve that problem (spacers essentially subtract offset), and shouldn't need longer studs. That 10.5" rear will have less backspacing than a stock 1LE wheel, so no issues there. It will poke 0.06" more to the outside fender edge, but that's so little difference to a stock 1LE wheel that it shouldn't matter.
