Hey from CA
hey everybody. i'm not going to lie, i started lurking camaro5 with the intent of trolling the forum, but i was pleasantly surprised with the number of truly objective members on this forum that aren't blinded by brand-loyalty and fanboyism. of course, every group of car enthusiasts has it's nutswingers and fanboys (especially camaros and mustangs). but anyway, when i saw how many truly objective members there were here, i thought maybe this would be a good place to actually learn about the LS powerplants.
anyway, i'm not a ford fanboy, but i am somewhat brand loyal. i stick with what i know, and i know SBF's and mod motors. if i knew more about LS's, i'd probably pay more attention to them. it was actually my buddy's f body v6 camaro that peaked my interest in cars and it was a GTO that first showed me how awesome a cam'd V8 can be. those experiences led me to buying my first pony car, a POS v6 mustang, which introduced me to mustangs, which then introduced me to mod motors, which then got me interested in the earlier late-model mustangs (fox bodies), which got me working on SBF's. i now own a 2009 mustang GT with intake, exhaust, cams... ****, full bolt-ons, with ported heads ready to go as soon as i can find a 5.4 shortblock for cheap. i also own an 87 LX with a shitty paint job and a mild cam, and two 03 foci which are completely stock. one focus might be getting a little turbo soon though. anyways, hi. don't ban me for owning fords. i just want to learn |

thanks for the welcome.
i'm actually looking forward to the fights. i'd like to do what i can to dispell some of the misinformation some might have about rustangs and at the same time learn about what cheby has to offer. |

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

Welcome!! Been mostly a gm man most of my life. I did own a maverick grabber for a few years that I used to race. It was a sweet setup and i had a blast with it.
I had considered getting a new mustang but I really liked the camaro looks and feel more. |
