Charger and Challenger ending production in 2023

Just saw an article saying that Dodge is ending the production of these 2. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/bu...e/10302941002/

They are bringing back the Hellcat Durango next year, for 1 year only, but this is all a send off for the Charger and Challenger. As Dodge is ramping up for their electric "muscle" car that will take over.

Kinda interesting that they are also helping customers connect with a business that will help convert their Challengers into convertibles.

Oh well. Camaro is ending in 2024, Charger and Challenger are ending in 2023. I wonder when the Mustang will end? End of the ICE muscle car is coming.

I'm glad I got my car when I did. No parts problems, and the only thing I'm "missing" is Homelink, which I don't care about too much.

Yep, this is why I just picked up the m6 zl1. I'll be enjoying this for years to come, even when my daily is inevitably an EV

Yeah let’s add more demand to the grid.

California has done this is the years past around this time of the year. And yet THEY are the ones that are on the EV train. By 2035, all new vehicle sales (I believe just passenger vehicles) will be "banned". Basically, if any manufacturer sells a new vehicle in California, they'll impose something like a $20k fine for each vehicle sold by that manufacturer. Used vehicle sells will continue.

California has a crap power grid but yet want to add more demand, in the future, from EV's but yet at the current moment they can't even handle the demand of just AC's......

It's crazy here. They want you to go solar but now that the government and utilities aren't making as much money, they want to charge a monthly fee for all solar owners. Literally more than half my electric bill is cost of power transmission to my house from other states. The actual charge for power I use is about 45% of my bill. That's just the tip of the iceberg, I could go on and on about similar topics but not trying to completely derail the thread. Sad day when even Dodge ditches their nostalgic muscle cars, as well as everyone else. Keep what ya got

UK @ $0.60/kWH already, essentially the equivalent of $7-8/gal gas using ~22MPG. All the fools saying they are switching to EV's because gas is expensive are IDIOTS.

We get free charging at work - hence the Tesla in the garage. Saving $400/mo on gas right now.

Meanwhile the rs3 runs ethanol at $3.99/gal, and I can watch the ZL1's gas gauge dropping literally as I'm driving.

There's no such thing as actually free. They are just paying you, or someone else, less.
