Day 2 on Pirelli Takeoffs.... and I got my Ass Taxed by a GT500 Today.
as for the GT500, I had absolutely nothing for him. He pulled a football field on me on both of Pocono's straights and I corded the fronts trying to work the infields to catch him. He got payback for all those Mustangs I slaughtered two weeks ago. hahahaha I had absolutely nothing. |

Great to see you using your car as intended. Was that GT500 stock?

I was on corded slicks but running pump gas with the headers. E40 would have been ideal today. hahahaha I'm definitely doing something over the winter. That can't happen again. Pocono has 2 long-ish straights where the GT500 could stretch its legs. |

A non-track pack GT500 was able to do that to a ZLE? Guy must be a helluva driver.

From my experience in Daytona earlier this year, the GT500 starts pulling away on my 6th gear, but not before. You need to get back to SC3R tires that the ZLE was configured for, then you can compensate his straight line speed by going faster in the turns.

The 500's are insanely fast. They consistently trap over 130 mph in the 1/4 compared to the ZL1's which is usually 122-125, and they keep going after that. They're no slouch in the handling department either. One Helluva car.

He's definitely stock. If I had been running the E40 it would have been closer but I was on pump 93 only. |
