1009 HP 950 TQ LT1 build

Hey Guys,

After blowing my motor this summer (Broke at rod @ 730 Wheel HP) I started saving my kids college money to put together another engine. After asking around I went on the recommendation of a good friend Mike (Toohighpsi) to use his engine builder Kenny Duttweiler. Its been a long process and I can say I had my heart set on the new 2650 but I can't wait to get the engine back in the car and see what it will do on the 2300.

I didn't get a final engine graph so I will be uploading one next time I go to the shop

Engine specs

427 CID
Callies crank, diamond pisons, manley rods, darton MID sleeves, ported heads, comp cam, ARP everything.

Injection is Lingenfelters new DI injectors on MS109 fuel

Magnuson TVS2300 @ 21 psi

Mike had told me about your new build, that should be a wicked package and should see some low 9's out at the track. Kenny did a great job putting the package together. Can't wait to see some time slips. So for those who think you have to have a 2650 Mike just proved you can make a shit load of power with a 2300. I want one myself but at this point I think I'm fine with my 2300

Yessir the 2300 is a beast when you put some real RPM to it.

I’m hoping to go deep in the 9’s we’ll see in a few weeks!

I wish I'd got to meet you when I was in Cali at Magnuson last month. I guess we were pretty close to Kenny's when he was building your engine. I did see the Lingenfelter Injectors and pump that came in its own case. It was pretty cool for sure.

That is going to be a beast. Can't wait to see the track results. Is the 1,009 hp to the crank?

That's crank, about 900 or so at the wheels would be my guess

Congrats, nice build.

What was the boost level on the prior engine which broke the rod?

Torque is going to be the rod killer rather than a boost level threashhold.

It is a built motor with manley rods so much stronger then the stock rods, should be ok

For sure man, I’m planning on taking the car all over so I’m sure we will all meet up sometime. That lingenfelter case is something else huh? You know they put something expensive in there lol
