Air fuel at idle question

Hey guys could use some feed back first Time I’ve really had the car out since picking it up at cruising my af is 15 then I get on it and goes to the 11’s at idle the af is around 18-19 is this okay. I’m currently running whipple with 3.5 pulley hooks headers rotofab intake and meth kit. Thank in advance

Subscribed! I too have the same setup minus the meth and just a smaller pulley. I'm also seeing high 11's at WOT, 15's during cruising, and 17-18 (maxed out) at idle.

I must say I have never paid attention to gas mileage. I tend to fill up once a week unless I go hunting rabbits on the weekends.

My tuner told me if we were running that lean the car would not run. He said the wide band could have an issue

Yeah it was weird. Before I had the exhaust and headers put on the idle was at like 14.6 dead on but then after it climbed to 17-18. My tuner said it was operating normally for that gauge but they seemed a bit vague. I've just paid attention to the AFR at WOT which has in the safe zone. Then again I have the AEM boost gauge too which shows me hitting as high as 12PSI but when they had it hooked up they saw that the gauge was reading 2PSI higher then it should. Again another vague answer and now just I just subtract the two PSI.. My boost depending on temps will vary from 9PSI to 12PSI.

I’m at 7-8psi with the catless headers waiting for the forged bottom end to up the boost

A good read. I probably should pull a plug and see what it looks like to see if rich/lean or happy.

I’m assuming we can’t calibrate our wide band can we ?

Also reached out to aero force they advised to check the voltage on the wide band to make sure it is not messed up

You should be able to re cal the sensor. Just check your trims with a scanner. The narrow band 02's are in control of everything but WOT. Normal driving should still be fine with them in control.
