Vertical running lights
I had my dead driver side running light replaced yesterday. The odd thing is that it is waaaay brighter than the other side.
Anyone have a clue?

Random guess, but the parts shortages have probably led to lots of "versioning" and different suppliers of chips, LEDs themselves, etc...probably just need them to replace the other one to match as the old parts are probably not available.

So here’s the latest. The light does not work in auto on mode, but works when I manually turn the lights on manually. Anyone have an answer?

Maybe the wiring harness has an issue as well, not just the DRL. I bet the brightness difference is caused by the original DRL running in dimmed mode as necessary and the new one permanently stuck in full bright mode (even if parts suppliers changed, such a blatant deviation from specs is very unlikely). Don't think it's the exterior sunlight sensor, because then both DRLs would behave the same way.

Probably going to have to bring it back to the dealer or a different one.
