I should of picked this up a decade ago

I finally convinced my wife it would be a good idea to get a car lift and she signed off. Since I just broke 1k miles I figured it would be a good opportunity to test this thing out for an oil change. It's worth every single penny. I am kind of chesty and have a huge head so this was the first time I've ever been able to squeeze under a car and fit comfortably using my own jack/jackstands.

Couple things I noticed:
For those of you that are buying filters from O'reilly's, they have the wrong part number in their computer. They have PF48E listed for our car when it actually uses PF64.

The oil was quite a bit darker after 1k miles than I expected.

The drain plug has a rubber o-ring rather than crush washer. Im sure the majority of you already knew this but being new to Chevy I was not aware.

They have several voltage options so pay attention. I nearly picked up the 12 volt on accident.

Cool lift,
But you had me all excited,
I’m thinking one of these would do the trick nicely

If I didn't have to share the garage with my wife I would totally go that route.

I bought a 2 post lift a few years ago. Definately the best "tool" i ever purchased; worth every penny.

I have 2 of the 4 post lifts. Best thing I ever did. My cars get stored in the winter and they are perfect. As long as you have enough height in the garage, you double your storage space!

Do you see any issue leaving it in the middle of the garage and driving over it every day? Will the front of the car clear it if you drive over it? I have a 1 car garage with no storage room but thinking about getting this.

Nice!!!

I'm grabbing myself a quickjack in a few months, once the weather clears! I'll make adjusting the struts up front a cinch!!

No not at all. It is very low profile and the two side by side is about 2 feet wide so its like tossing a hotdog down a hallway.

To the op, did you get the BL-5000SLX or BL-5000EXT? According to QuickJack it looks like the EXT is the correct model for our cars.
