the gt4.r is real. It's awesome.. it's based off the zl1 1le ...not the same car.
I specifically talk about the photos in that article and how the badging is photoshopped and fake. Yes it is real, but that article is fake. You can also clearly see there is a zl1 badge on the front....

It was the only numbers available for similar track times, but you get the point that the z28 doesnt really fit in anywhere. The new zl1 and zl1 1le will only be faster which leaves a smaller gap for the Z/28.

The GT4.R is a spec race car and will not be available to be registered to be driven on the streets. The ZL1 1LE is a "regular" street car that has added components to perform better on the track.

They are not the same, nor even close to being =.

The wing is also very different. And the car features a race-tuned LT1 mated to a sequential gearbox, as opposed to the LT4/M6 powertrain.

Some concept...very similar appearance...different application/rules, and therefore different components.

I made my post knowing that they are not "the same car" in the literal sense.

But...conveniently looking at the design, the placement of the features, you can see plainly the GT4.R to ZL1 1LE translation from race car (GT4.R) to road car (ZL1 1LE). http://sportscar365.com/imsa/ctscc/f...t4-r-released/

Its more than obvious there are difference otherwise as far as engine, suspension, etc. because race regulations.

The car even has the ZL1 fascia and badge in the grille.

Piloting the pretty No. 10 Blackdog Speed Shop Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R, Aschenbach wrangled the top spot from a highly-competitive GTS field Thursday afternoon with a new qualifying track record time of one-minute, 18.855-seconds at 82.17 miles per hour.
