Good to see a how-to. It's what's next on my list to do. Though I will probably go with the ZZP kit since it comes with everything I'll need.

What all is included and for how much? I'm thinking shipping shouldn't be too bad with one or two flat rate boxes from USPS.

Just installed my flex fuel sensor today. Was a little frustrating trying to find that #70 pin for the sensor to read off the harness. Was really difficult trying to force the pin in the connector all the way but think I got it. Just wish there was a way to test it before I contact a tuner. Anyway, now the car is as full bolt-on as it can go without cracking into the motor internals. Can't wait to get a real tune on it and make some real power!

Sooo much has happened since the last update! I'm just way too behind on this thread. lol. Biggest news is that beginning in october the number 4 cylinder went KABOOM! Stock engine lasted about 68k. Ugh... Long story short, I needed to find the quickest solution to get my daily back on the road so ended up pulling the motor in my garage and putting in a 2018 ebay engine with 35k on the clock. Took about the whole month of october but it sure is nice to have it back.

Symptoms included a lopey idle and a stabletrak message. I did sound pretty cool like it had a mini cam. Plug #4 tells the tale of oil getting into the cylinder, most likely from cracked rings or piston crown. Also, my catch cans were overflowing with oil due to blow by. Stick a fork in it cause this motor's done.

Bring on the hook! Yes, I use my porch to lift engines. lol

New pallet motor! Just hearsay but it's rumored the 18's have better rods and pistons.

I did get lucky and borrowed the engine hoist from work. This made it sooo much easier due to the car needs to be off the ground to get at a few last bellhousing bolts I missed.

Put another notch on the old harbor freight hoist! This things pulled over 40 car and aircraft engines.

Figured why not replace the clutch while the engine is out? Glad I did because when it came off it was completely burnt. Guess I'm not letting the kids at work learn on my car anymore. Another note is that we have a dual mass flywheel which can't be machined. Had to buy a brand new stock flywheel. I just went with stock replacements for the pressure and friction plates.

Just a little something for the ladies...lol. Look at that handsome devil!

Last update on mods for the car. I finally found a set of 3.73 SS gears! Can't wait to put this in the car but going to wait until the snow is done falling. This is going to be a fun project to wake this car up! Been spending a lot of time at the drag strip this fall and saw how much a good set of gears lower your times. Some racing pics and vids will go up when I get the chance.

Well, months later, the gears are in! And yes, they're pretty awesome! Car def has a punchier feel to it. (lower gears act as a torque multiplier) May 5th will be the real test to see if it's faster when Quaker City Dragway has their opener. Been waiting on updating the thread because I took a vid trying to detail all the mechanics of swapping diff for anyone who might be considering this for their project. Enjoy!

Well its a sad day boys. Hate to say it but I traded the turbo camaro in this weekend so this will be the end of thread. I absolutely loved this car and it was surprisingly quick. Just about shed a tear signing the title over but with the crazy high trade in values and it coming up on a 100k with dings, dents, rust, and needing some replacement parts this summer it just made sense to get a new one. I'll keep an eye on this thread if anyone has any questions and if anyone identifies the new owner on any kinds of social media, point him my way. I got tune files and extra parts for him. So long little buddy.
