3LT,2SS & ZL1 Owners Ventilated Seat Question

My '24 2SS ventilated seats suck! The blue lights come on, but I feel next to nothing for any kind of coolness on the seat.
I know when I had my ZL1 you could feel the ventilation. Either mine is working defectively... or it is the difference between the Alcantara which breaths more freely and the Leather that doesn't.
BTW...Had 2 Scat Packs with Alcantara and ventilated seats and they worked great!

Ours seems to work just fine. In fact the AC works so good I have to turn it down as it will freeze you out of the car.

The seat ventilation system uses 2 fans, one under the back portion of the seat cushion and one behind the bottom of the seatback. It's possible that one of them failed and that's why you can't feel the airflow. Try directing the A/C to the floor and feel the movement of air around these two locations with your hands, and if there is none, one or both fans may be broken.

I will say, though, that these fans are relatively small and don't push a ton of air to begin with, even at max speed (level 3), so we can't expect the same performance that seats with true A/C can deliver.

Ventilated seats work great in my 3LT, as well as the wife's 2018 Equinox Premier.

No problem with mine as far as my backside can tell. I've always felt the idea of the vents were to make the leather cooler to the touch rather than chill me down.

I can feel the fans on my 2SS, but no, they're not going to cool me down much if I'm sweating like a hog.

Out of my 4 vehicles, the Camaro ventilated seats are the lamest. Definitely wish they have more oomph.

I have had both a 3LT and a 2SS 1LE, so the leather AND Alcantara and I honestly don't notice a difference between them. Its definitely not a strong feeling, but noticeable. So if you don't think its working, it may not be. You can also hear the fans if you listen for them.

My post from the existing Time to Vent on the Ventilated Seats! thread.

I know my vented seats are working because I can physically hear them work. When I first pull the car out of the garage they work great. If the car had been parked outside I won’t really feel them because the cabin is scorching hot. I truly believe a lot of the rants about the vented seats have to do with turning them on when the car is hot as hell to begin with. The fans blowing hot air at your back aren’t really going to be noticeable. When the air is cool in the car to begin with that’s when you notice them. Remember vented seats are NOT AC seats. Those are awesome and actually work when the car is hot inside.

My ZL1 ventilated seats work okay but I don’t use that feature much.

No matter how hot it is inside or outside your car, if your back is sweating, they are very noticable. I can't feel the difference between the leather vented seats and the Alcantara vented seats. My fans work for a little then stop, and get insanely hot. My fix since I'm broke is to run it for a couple minutes shut it off, wait a while get a few more minutes, rinse and repeat. I haven't had vented seats since end of last summer and wasn't a big deal, it is this year as I'm going into it with broken seats. 123 here today smh >.<
