Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4

I have researched quite a bit for tires that I could use on non track set. I have seen people talk about the Bridgestones, but has anyone used the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 with 285/30/20 and 295/30/20? Wondering if this setup would work for non track tires.

They're quite new still, so it's likely no one would have much, if any, experience on them. I have the a/s 3+ as my daily wheels and am very happy. The a/s 4 came on the C8, so I can only imagine they perform quite a bit better. Not sure about their snow capabilities, but if that's not something the car will see, then it doesn't matter anyway.

If you commute and have a 2nd car to drive during winter, just buy the 4S which I have driven in Denver for 5 years when temps are above 30F, no ice or snow

I plan on the Bridgestones for below 40º temps.
I'd rather upsize the fronts to 295 than downsize the rears to 295's, sidewalls are thin enough no need to get smaller.

Two weeks after I order the Bridgestones in 295/305 Michelin will come out with an amazing all season set in 285/305, so get ready.

Michelin makes this the Pilot Sport AS4 in 305/30/20. Unfortunately it's a runflat, ZP, tire. Can't mix and match runflats. I actually called Michelin to ask because on their website they list the size but the don't list that it is a runflat. Standard tire on the C8 all they need to do is make it a non-runflat.

I don't even own a Camaro, but I am strongly considering it. Just researching tire options as I can't get a way with the GY3 in the Northeast.

Michelin lists PS4 A/S non-runflats on their site in 285, 295 and 305 /30-20. Whether any of those sizes are actually available is another question.

I have been looking forward to this tire as a replacement for the 'Stone RE980 A/S on our ZL1, but haven't seen much real-world feedback as of yet.

When I was first looking, I did not see a 305 tire in the PS4 A/S, its great they have it now, but finding it is a bit harder, I can easily find it in 285 and 295. Guess I will have to see if someone can order it.

Where are you seeing it in non-runflat?

This is the only Michelin part number I can find. 305/30ZR20 (99Y) - 90383

Also worth noting that Michelin tech service is not very helpful

It is a French company so theres that. I can't find them either, not so sure they exist in a non run flat. I would buy those in a NY minute to get away from the aptly named "Stones".

Tire Rack has the non-runflats in 285/30/20 and 295/30/20, but the at 305 width they only list the 305/35/20. I don't think dropping one notch down to 295 would hurt very much in terms of traction or even looks.

You would think but I have the Bridgestone's in 295/30-20 and 305/30-20 as they don't make a 285 and you won't be confused looking at them, the rear is visually wider. Michelin has an excellent molded in rim protector that I've personally tested on a granite curb on the PS4S, stretching a 295 on a 11" rim may nullify it. That said I have considered it as the Bridgestone's annoy the hell out of me, you could run over a nickel and feel and hear it and they look like vacuum cleaner belts.

Now you've got me wondering... I got it from the Michelin site, and Tire Rack had a 305/30-20 listed under the non runflat version, though that size has now disappeared...

Michelin's site doesn't say anything to identify that part number as ZP (run flat) that I can find...

Like you said, their site isn't very helpful.
