What’s the better deal?

Guys looking at some 2020 SS’s I think I have good deal on a 1SS A10, black wheels and performance exhaust. With the dealership adding leather seats it’s 41,500 out the door of 40,500 financed thru them. Leather seats is 1200.00 additional.

Initially I was looking at a 2SS but was a bit too much for me. Best price on that one was 45,700.00 with the same package. Is it worth the extra 4 grand?

I initially wanted a 1LE but no way I get close on a 2020 and even the 2019’s are in the 40-41asking range.

Is the 1SS with me adding leather worth it at 40,500.00.

$41500 including tax, tags, fees...everything? What was original msrp? Only you can answer if leather is worth $1200. I hate leather, which is part of the reason I wanted a 1SS to start with.

GM leather has never worked out well for me. Cadillac, Yukon or Camaro... Just does not hold up well even with maint.

Yes 41,500 out the door. I don’t have anything to compare it against what others have paid.

MSRP is 41,385.00

Don’t think it’s GM leather. Fairly certain it’s aftermarket skins added to the vehicle.

The other 2ss equipment such as blind spot monitors (you can't see out of these things) and Bose stereo (not great at all, but way better than non-Bose) justify the price difference imo.

Agreed. Bigger infotainment screen, parking sensors, and especially for us guys who don’t handle the heat well...cooled seats! Heads up display is nice too. So, I’ll say go for the 2SS, but I’m definitely biased.

Leather will cost $1,200 plus no matter whether the dealer installs it or you find a shop to do it for you. It's probably going to be Katzkin or an equal brand which will be about as good as factory considering what GM puts in the cars. 1SS vs 2SS wise depends on what you can afford. 2SS is worth the price for everything you get with it if you are a tech/gadget person & if Heated seats are a must for you. I'm not impressed by GM's current incentives, and if new vs used doesn't bother you I would probably buy a nice used 2SS over new 1SS.

I really like the full display rear view mirror as well...

I went through all the same gyrations when ordering my car. In the end I just went for it, as this is my forever baby.

I consider the Recaro seats with my 1LE a huge plus. Love them!

The math I come up with is:

35,500 car
1500 A10
995 dual mode exhaust
300 wheels

- 1750 rebate
- 1000 financing

36,045 x 6.5% taxes 38,380.00 + 499 dealer fee + 450 tags = 39,300.00 out the door.

Thats for the 1SS. Ive seen a few used (2019 and 2020) 2SS and 1LE but they're listed around 40-41...maybe there's some room to come down but likely not much. That's really the question for me (I guess for everyone) - is the extra 4-5 grand worth it. I love the look of the 1LE, but I appreciate an A10 tranny. This is a weekend car not a daily so is the 1SS deal "too good" to pass up on and simply go enjoy a fun car at a good price.

Dealer fee seems high. Usually only $80. And I think you’re taxed before rebates but could be wrong. . My 1SS A10 is more a less a weekend car. I would buy a 1SS again in a heartbeat. Not a single thing I miss/want from a 2SS. Not an audiophile so stock stereo sounds fine to me. Usually windows down listening to Borla.

Don’t live in a cold climate but cloth seats are never hot or cold, so heated/cooled seats are a waste. HUD-could care less. Blind spot monitoring would be a nice to have but not for $4-5k.
