Used 2016 2SS help

Update in post #16
Thanks for the insight everyone, I really appreciate it.
Going to pass on it.

I am going to look at the Camaro in the link this weekend and wanted to get some feedback on the possible damage that this car had. It had substantial front end damage from the blurred pics i could see on badvin.com. My question is is it possibly worth it?
I have pretty much got the dealer down to around $21K.
The hood was replaced with a non-SS hood and the exhaust is not stock.

With the damage as bad as it seems to have been, is this worth my time to make the drive to check it out? it's only an hour and a half away, and for the price, it could be an amazing deal.

Any thoughts?

Would have been nice to see pictures of the engine compartment since it sustained front end damage. Also, the hood vents are there for a reason. they are functional and not just there for cosmetic purposes. That in itself is a easy fix. I'd be concerned about the repairs. It seems that a legit body shop would not cut corners like that. I'd be concerned about what other corners they cut in that engine compartment. But, it's hard to tell the whole story from some pictures. It would probably be worth the drive to check it out and drive it.

That's my main concern is the quality long term of the repairs. I hood is an easy fix, actually added the vents to my 2016 2LT.

The exhaust can be fixed as well. but the engine compartment and suspension is what I am worried about.

Guess the only way ill know is by going by.

I wouldn't trust anything the dealer is saying to you. Unless they have the repair work in hand, there is no telling what has been done to this car, or if its even been properly fixed. The last thing I'd want is to buy a 21k car, and then have to invest more money into it. By the looks of the current repair work looking like a parts car thrown together, and lack of pictures showing under the hood. I'd be out.

The dealer hasn't actually told me anything about the work done.
I'm just stating what I see in the pics.
I don't have high hopes for it, but my curiosity is killing me for the price.

No Chris!! Pass on this Camaro and keep looking! It’s not a good deal to me and I can’t believe it doesn’t have an SS hood when it was repaired. You can find 2016s and 2017s that are better so keep looking and you will find one!

I’d pass on it as well. Even at $21k. Substantial front end damage, 30k miles?

Steer clear. I wouldn’t touch that car with a 10ft pole.

From the blurred pictures on ‘badvin’, I’m curious to know why you’re so interested in checking it out.

Don't waste your time looking at this vehicle. It's too risky of a proposition, IMO.

That is a 2SS and worth at least $18k in that condition. What dealer is asking, however, is a joke.

Repairing with the wrong hood is enough for me to stay away from it. Pass and keep looking

accident will always be on the carfax too and will impact all future sales of this car in a big way. I wouldn't touch it with a 39-1/2' pole myself. Unless buying it as a retrofit project. The motor / trans / harness / seats / brakes / wheels could be used on a first gen and throw away the damaged shell. That's what I would do with it. worth maybe $15K for that purpose.
