I love how literally anything will increase insurance rates. I once had GEICO raise my 6 month premium by 50% because I moved to a different zip code in the same city. They said it was due to higher population density, but it was only like 5 miles from where I was previously living.
Needless to say that I am no longer a customer of theirs. |

Mine went down $185 every 6 mos with Progressive. I went from a 2013 Infiniti G37 Coupe. I also have an 08 Altima Coupe 3.5 and the insurance on it is now higher than the Camaro with the same coverage.

Mine went from 58 dollars a Month on my 2012 Camaro 2SS to 63 dollars a Month on my 2016 2SS. I have high limits and 0 deductibles, I'm also 55...through State Farm.

In 2003 when I shopped around for insurace Geico was the highest quote I got, by a LONG shot. Progressive was right behind them. I currently have State Farm but I shop around once every 3 or 4 years because they all change. I won't ever even ask Geico or Progressive anymore though.
When I traded my 14 Mustang for my 16 Camaro my rates only went up by $12 every 6 months. The biggest determining factors of insurance rates, if all other things remain the same referring to my parenthesis, are value of the car and safety ratings of the car (Rates are also determined by where you live and how you will drive the car, work, average annual mileage, etc. And of course your age, credit score, and driving record), This only makes sense as you are paying them to replace the car and pay for injuries.

Are you sure your wife or kid did not get a ticket and forget to tell you?

Allstate here. Policy on my 2016 Camaro 2SS is cheaper than than my 2015 Impala 2LT even though the Impala has more safety features like lane drift alert and front crash alert warning.

My Geico premium was reduced by a few dollars when I changed from a Subaru WRX to my 2SS. Moving out of California cut my insurance bill in half.

Been using safeco the last 3 years now due their amazing rates and amazing customer service. My insurance was 1300 a year for my 2014 evo (last fun car and other major companies wanted 2k+ a year), camaro started at 820 a year, switched my home owner insurance to them which dropped my camaro down to 600 a year and if I don't go past 8k miles before Nov 7th, it will drop another 100-150 bucks.
I have my 09 f150 and a 13 malibu eco + home owners as a "bundle". |

No need to go "shopping" for insurance either. Every company lets you do it online and it's much easier that way. Plus, you don't have to deal with the pushy insurance people in person as well.

Going from a 2011 2LT to my 2016 2SS I saved $20+/month by switching it myself, from my phone at the dealership. Pretty cool that all I had to do was answer a few questions, enter the VIN, and I was set before I left the dealership with insurance.

I bundled with my home insurance on AAA and saved 20 a month over Geico for my G8 GT.
