This is true. Not like the old days when you can just throttle it from the side of the carb. Ahhh the good old days...

*(GM GDS2 + MDI is what GM uses for diagnostics on our car in place of the Tech2, which is used for older GM vehicles.) So as for revving the engine remotely? I don't know, but I personally wouldn't attempt to tap into the throttle pedal module with a device like this - although I am nearly 100% certain it could be done, just not sure how safely for the throttle pedal module, throttle body, or ECM. My guess is any device like this is at risk of generating a Reduced Power Mode condition or other throttle related CELs. You could probably make an adapter that would allow you to tee into the harness/connector with a much longer cable for use outside the car. What you would have would essentially be a gas pedal for your hand. L6611983, what's the purpose of this? Is it for diagnostic purposes, making videos, car shows, pure entertainment, etc...? I am just curious what you would use it for as that may impact our answers. What you show would scare me because it looks like it's intended to stay physically connected at all times. Being that it is wireless opens up all sorts of possible issues.

I'm thinking the OP wants to rev the engine remotely while trouble shooting under the hood. (chasing mystery noises etc.) While pretty old school I purchased this throttle tool from Lisle a while back. Part # 48700. I think it was under $40. While you can't blip the throttle like a 750 cfm 4-barrel you can bring up and hold RPMs without an assistant. I always use some stout wheel chocks and set the E-brake. Don't want to play neighborhood pinball with the vehicle should something "weird" happen.
