Maggie tvs 2300

Question for everyone. I have a 2018 2ss. Only mod is a magvie 2300. It was dynoed yesterday. My baseline before the supercharger was 408/405 now after install its 508/508. Magnason advertised 550 plus so what gives? BTW it was denied on a dynajet.

Also it has the maggie canned tune and when my installer called magnuson with the numbers they said they were happy with that. My installer said there is plenty of power left on the table though.

My baseline was also 480~500 rwhp around with the canned tune.

So it's a classic false advertising for horsepower

Fuel is probably the reason you're at the numbers you have. Most of the canned tunes from any manufacturer don't hit the numbers they project because they have to write a tune that works for all cars and not just one. So more than likely they find a sweet spot in the fueling and make sure everything else is good to go and send the tunes out on their way. If you want to see 550 get a custom tune but beware at that point your gonna approach your fueling limit so if your tuner isn't spot on you'll be back here asking why your motor let go.

This is pretty low. I have roughly the same setup with a custom tune that, although of course these numbers aren't comparable directly, dynoed much higher (560 rwhp) with a much bigger difference vs the baseline. The majority of the problem, as noted by others above, is probably the canned tune, but this looks a bit low even for that.

Can you post the dyno sheet? Notwithstanding that, you should probably look into a custom tune by a reputable shop, you'll find plenty of references here in the forums. LT1 fueling, I was told, is good up to 575-580 rwhp.

Plenty of us made that power, mine made 549 on the canned tune when we first installed it. I'm guessing its rich on the PE table and remember those numbers are at sea level so any elevation changes at all will affect the outcome on rwhp. I doubt your much over 500 above sea level in Illinois. Most of us made in the upper 390 rwhp on our base so yours is a little higher then most.

Does Magnuson quote flywheel or RWHP? Most places don't quote RW.

I am planning Cai, headers, throttle body and a custom tune. I assume my hp will get to between 550 and 575? I will post the dyno sheet in a little bit. Thanks all for input. On a side note so far it doesn't seem as powerful as I thought it would be.

You will likely run out of fuel system with those mods. Will need LT4 fueling or a Meth kit if you don't mind relying on it for additional fueling.

My tuner said I should be fine with my current fueling system, but any power level beyond that I would need better fueling. I was to keep the car streetable so I will probably stop there.

Funny you mention 480s because my car was doing that at first and then they realized it was being dynoed with the car in snow mode. When they switched it to sport I got the 508
