I was about 20. Finished high school and was going into school for General Motors. Bought a 1988 Iroc-Z 1LE. Very very rare car. Did not realize how rare until about a year after I sold it. I believe 4 went to the public. Lots in the Players racing series though. Man was that an incredibly tough car out of the factory. Definitely one of those ones I wish I still had. Not so much for its rarity but for how well the car performed and the condition I kept it in. Kick myself in the ass to this day.

First Camaro
I was 17. All I wanted was a 1969 Camaro. My Dad would show me other cars. I told him I only wanted a 69 Camaro. I was riding my Ten speed bike around our neighborhood and saw a Fantom green 69 Camaro for sale in the front yard. I peddled home as fast as I could and told my Dad. We went back and we bought it that day. I have been hooked and have had several Camaro's since then. Love the Camaro.

24 years old and been working full time for a little over a year in 1982! I ordered a stripped down 1982 Camaro Z28 with the 305 4 barrel Qjet and 4 speed transmission in dark blue with silver rocker panels. The car was held up because GM ran out of the B&W T-10s they were using and the car was built with a Saginaw 4 speed instead. Supposedly Borg-Warner was getting production ready for the 5 speed transmissions in the 1983 Camaros that were coming out in a few months. I if remember it took 3 months to get the ‘82 after I ordered it and it almost didn’t get built!

I was 20 years old when I bought my first Camaro, a new 1976 Camaro LT. If I remember correctly, I think I payed around $5000 for it.

Yeah Scotty, that 1988 IROC 1LE was a rare Camaro! I remember reading about them in the car magazines back then.

First Camaro for me was at 38. Went three years after selling my G8 and couldn’t hold off the performance bug anymore. Considering my first car was a 1984 Oldsmobile Firenza......we’ve come along way!!!
