When I was talking with my tuner I asked him about this and he said he tunes it where it wouldn't shift unless WOT so you can still use manual mode to stay in gear and manually shift it unless you completely floored it so it wouldn't affect doing burnouts in second.

That is pretty much how I have it setup in my tune. I do have the MPH set the same across all TPS %. I have never had it shift when doing a burnout because you won't hit the commanded shift MPH unless RPM gets above 6500rpm. No need to go above 5k rpm on a burnout. Either way if you were worried about it then you would simply change the MPH in my tables from 0-87% TPS to 318 and leave the 94-100% cells as is.

This is great info guys I'm learning a lot here. Agree with Choda I was told years ago not to do full throttle downshifts in auto mode it's way too hard on it.

Lol, yeah the trans is being pulled and sent off to Tim King to be built so I can turn the boost up. It didn't want to shift out of 4th at WOT and has never really felt right. Somehow the trans was 4.5 quarts low on fluid when I was breaking the motor in and never felt right after that even after filling it.

None yet, we had to swap the turbo housings because the power flat lined around 19 psi. Then my tuner's dyno broke and he can't get the part. I wanted to go to the track a week ago but it was 100 degrees and humidity was way up there. I haven't done any street dragys because it would draw too much attention, even though I think it would be ok because cops here don't really pull people over that much.

Went to the track with it but it was super humid has been raining all week and rained earlier today too. Humidity was 90% when I ran. I need to get a 2 step so I can build some boost at the line, launching it N/A just doesn't cut it.

That’s a decent MPH.

Sooooo, the elephant in the room is, why didn’t you get the trans brake?

I really didn't even think about it be honest, when I had it rebuilt I just wanted to make sure it could hold the power but the funny thing is it started acting up last night so now it has to be looked at again. That mph is enough to go mid 9s but not without launching in boost.

Well the trans is screwed up now, probably going to have to send it back and have the clutches replaced in it, it doesn't want to shift at WOT now.
