Car has a clean carfax but just worried about the racing scene in Houston. 6k and 1 service record for an oil change, looks like I'll have to do a diff change if I buy it. Probably tires too, havent been to look at it but still has the stock tires and car seat indents in the rear so I may be safe

Check the tread depth near the center of the tread or more toward the inside, the outside treads have a false shallow tread groove to allow more rubber on the outside shoulder of the tire. Pic stolen from "for sale" thread:  Left side is inner tread, right side outer, you can see the shallow tread groove on the right. If you already knew this, sorry.

I drove my 14 2SS/RS 1LE down in Houston. I babied it and put 40k miles beltway 8 miles on it. Not everyone in Houston races them. Just like everywhere else it's a mix. That said, My 1LE was hit by an illegal immigrant with no drivers license or insurance, merged into by a girl putting on makeup while driving erratically, and got showered by gravel/stones from at least a few cement trucks and uncovered loads. People are inconsiderate and bad drivers everywhere though right?
That said, if you want a 18 1LE that isn't raced pay a small premium and get one new. |

My friend and I bought one at the same time and we have had them 15 months. I have 11,800 miles and he has 1500 miles. Anyway he is wanting to sell his to buy a house and would probably sell for payoff. I think he owes 36,000 and it’s blue and never raced , the only thing done is ACS side skirts and 1LE custom made emblems on the fenders. I have never posted pics on here but can learn if you are interested. It’s about 30 minutes north of Houston in Porter Tx.
