Oh trust me, I understand completely. I've had some family members who seemed to enjoy those vacations.
He doesn't need the money, that's the reason he's in there, got himself a little to high profile over the years. I've asked where to send money but he refuses and explains that he's in a good position and not to worry about it. This is mostly where my reservations steam from. I also know the numbers he was pulling before so I'm inclined to believe him.

The GT3 is not getting beat by AWD cars in the price range or even close

Yeah, I'm not super surprised that the AWD cars aren't putting down great times around a track compared to RWD cars--especially for some of the Audi's. A lot of them use FWD-bias systems and really idiotic alignments in stock form that cause the cars to push through turns. The BMW M4 xDrive I'm a little surprised about but, I'll have to do more research into those cars to see if they suffer from anything strange from the factory that holds them back. If I was going for a dedicated track car that I wanted to be competitive with, I'd absolutely do it in a RWD car but, I'd prefer a mid or rear engine vehicle.

Expect the 2023 M2 will be a good compromise "sports car" that can still turn some decent laps - S58 motor in more compact package

The new M3/4s are great cars but the size, weight, and of course the beak/"schnoz" make me think twice. Also reportedly a bit sterile to drive (see other thread in this section)

My father owns a 87' Grand National as well that's in amazing condition with low miles. He actually drives and races his though.
I'm not sure of his exact mods but I know it has a built motor/stroker, 6766 turbo (I think), 2004R built trans, e85 and a bunch of other goodies. It's making pretty good power, he's run 138mph in the 1/4, not sure the ET. The GN is relatively comfortable and is pretty light for its size too.
