Track Specific Wheel and Tire Set-Up

Looking for input on a track specific set-up for a ZL1 (non-1LE). I have a lot of track experience and am going to be purchasing a track specific set-up over the winter.

I am leaning toward a square set-up with 305s. I haven't picked the tire yet but something like a Nankang AR1 or similar. The tire I chose will likely didcate wheel size, but I beleive both 18" and 19" can be made to work on the ZL1.

Very interested to hear from those of you with track specific set-ups. This car feels like it would be better with a 305s all the way around.

I love the ZLE tire setup, I bought Apex wheels and run 325 R and 305F. I also just installed camber plates to make it easier to get more camber.

What tires do you run? I presume 19” wheels? What camber plates do you use?

I run 3R on 19" and Vorshlag camber plates. Also this is a good fitment article from Apex.

I run 305 all around on APEX EC7 10.5 " rims, that way they are rotatable and I can get a bit more out of the tires.

I run 18' BC Forged RZ05's. They are great, really no complaints but I have a 1LE so they are in BC Forged's 1LE specs

I was checking out those camber plates and have a few questions.

Is it pretty easy to adjust the camber?

If I had a street and track set-up, is it as simple as changing camber from street to track once you have a base alignment?

I understand front suspensions and alignments very well. Is the main advantage here, for my purpose (larger wheels and tires up front), moving the pivot point to prevent wheel to strut contact? It seems likely that the ZLE uses these for the same reason (more negative camber without wheel to strut contact).

How is the durability of these aftermarket plates? They look beefy but I get weary of aftermarket parts like this, especially for track use. These companies just do not have the ability to validate durability like the OEs.
