A8 RS weight
I recently bought a 2018 1LT V6 with the A8 and RS package. Just for fun I thought I'd weigh it on a local CAT scale that I weighed my 2016 V6 Mustang on. Long story short it weighed 3360 lbs with just over 1/2 tank of fuel. The Mustang weighed 3580 lbs with the same 1/2 tank. Now mind you I'm currently running my winter wheels which are 18x7.5" chrome 5th gen V6 wheels along with a 245/50/18 tire. I'm sure they are a few pounds lighter than my stock 20x8.5" and 245/40/20 setup, but it can't be that big of a difference is it? All the literature suggests this car should be only about 100 lbs lighter than my V6 Mustang. Was just curious since it seems really light for a V6 Camaro I thought

Given the rs package is just wheels, lights, and a few chrome pieces,i run a LT with most of the rs stuff minus the wheels. At the track i was 3750 with me in it and about a half tank. Seems about right to me.

Thanks for the reply. It appears my 18's with tire are 50 lbs vs 60 lbs for my 20's with tire. So 40 lbs difference, and that would put me at 3400 lbs with my 20's and 1/2 tank of fuel. I'm just blown away at how much lighter this car is compared to my V6 Mustang. I'm certainly not complaining though lol
