I guess I can take some pictures maybe check for some roughness.

But beyond that I wouldn't know what else to look for.

Also it's important to seat the pads right away...not 100 miles later.
Also, yes, I did do that when I got the car back within the first few miles, I drove it and did the 40mph to 10mph break in, and tried to do the 35mph to 5mph break in but ran out of road.

Was the first thing I did.

There won’t be any damage from the clips to the rotors. I do brake work almost daily and have learned over time to start checking the clearance of the retainers. More than once I’ve found that they aren’t cut/stamped correctly. I’ve actually had to trim some a few times. For the most part I use Wagner pads on customers cars. I also have a full set of Z26 pads waiting to install on my ‘18.

I'm not sure why one would want to degrade to inferior brake pads from the OEM Brembos. I understand the brake dust but there are other solutions such as ceramic coating your wheels for easy cleaning. Our brakes are fantastic and I'd rather not need them and have them, then well, you know...

I understand your point, but the trooth is you don't have anything other then your opinion that the Z26 pads are going to cause you to get in some accident that if you had the Brembo pads you wouldn't have. As I've stated in many other brake threads... for the spirited driving I do with my Camaro on public roads I notice ZERO difference in braking over the OEM brakes. The only difference I notice is I don't have to clean my wheels after every 10 mile trip. To each his own. If someone wants to change them it's their money... right?

Of course it’s their money and equipment. Have at it. And it can be easily tested. A simple 100-0 stop. Magazines do it everyday. I’d bet $100 the Brembos are significantly better in every regard. Tons of accidents come down to inches… Have at it.

I did have at it. And I'd do it again. "Tons of accidents"... Again, just your opinion with no proof. I never said in certain situations the Brembo pads wouldn't be superior, what I did say is that I have noticed ZERO difference for the driving that I do with my car.

You don't understand, The brakes on the car when I bought it were not OEM.

They were Mr. X's off name brand.

So this was an upgrade despite it not being OEM.

And I can feel a huge difference in braking efficiency compared to before.

Of course it's my opinion. Would you like me to give you someone elses? I'm glad the OP got it sorted.
