Range device and performance shift mode

Recently installed the range device, and have noticed that the car will not go into performance shift mode nearly as easy as it did before. Basically have to be at complete wide open throttle for it to activate, whereas before it would activate much more easily, like 3/4 throttle or whatever. I don't really mind the difference, but was just curious if others had experienced this. Also noticed a very slight delay in throttle response but just sometimes. It's barley noticeable, but it does exist. Anyone experience these things?

I don't notice any difference with the operation of the vehicle whether the Range device is in or out.

Thanks for the replies. Interesting that no one else has experienced this. Don't get me wrong the range works as advertised, and the performance shift mode still works fine, but just responds differently than before. I'm just more curious as to how this happened. I'll try calling Range Technology and see what they think

When I first installed the Range device I had some issues with it getting stuck in performance mode. Would hold high revs even when stopped (3-4k rpm). After sending the unit back to Range they did the warranty repair (said they found nothing but some led lights not working). After that I have been driving with it for close to 60,000km's and no issues.

Very strange, and in your case it was basically the opposite of what mine is doing. So this tells me that someway/somehow the range unit can sometimes alter or confuse the performance shift ability. I'm very curious what Range has to say when I call them today

I got a range device and tried it for a month or so. Honestly I thought the car drove better and was quicker w/o the device plugged in. Not sure what I was expecting, but could hardly notice it was doing anything.
