Why would Chevrolet, allow such a feature to be left out?

The ability to listen to a favorite song more than once should be available on a Chevrolet just as it is on a Ford.

A casual buyer might go with Ford over GM just because of this one feature.

I even asked my salesperson about the difference and he had no answer.
You are assuming that a lot of people actually want to do business with Sirius XM at all.

I used them for a little while but I really fail to see how they are relevant now that we have Spotify/YouTube Music/whatever other streaming service that is cheap, doesn't repeat the same few songs for eternity, and actually lets you cancel the service when you want to without having to call them.

My old RX-8 had rewind feature, for reference, and that car was from 2009.

Android Auto / Apple Crapplay are killing things like built in GPS and Satellite radio.

A) Satellite radio sucks. Everything sounds like it's under water.

B) My 2015 Silverado has a HD built into it that allows rewinding of broadcast content. I -believe- the ability is also there in my 2020 Camaro SS with the Premium Infotainment, but ONLY for satellite (not for radio as far as I can tell).

I've had Sirius for about a decade (with many vehicles) and I've never heard of the ability to rewind. I'm not sure why one would want to, for that matter. One complaint I do have with the Camaro is that the XM reception seems to be a bit worse compared to my previous cars.

I think satellite radio is far better than XM, but I agree nothing compares to playing directly from memory. Heck even bluetooth blows XM out of the water.

Yeah, I forgot about the crap reception issues... I can listen going through a tunnel (a short one, mind you) because of the built in hard drive / buffer, but I lose it driving along a river. And, the content that I would actually want the most (MLB games) is unavailable through the app because of licensing issues with MLB. So, no ability to listen while I'm traveling for work (I fly and have a rental where I go). I think it's laughable that the Camaro landed me a 12 month trial subscription and I don't drive the car 4-5 months of the year. But, my daily only came with 90 days. lol!

The MLB games is the only real value I've found with Sirius/XM too, I didn't realize the cars came with a year subscription.

Thanks for all the replies.
It's good to know that GM finally fixed the feature in 19 and up camaros.
I have a 2 hour work commute ,so I appreciate sirius radio. In my area, reception is great
and the absence of commercials is much appreciated.
As far as sound quality, in my camaro the sound quality is good. I have the bose system and it sounds fine to me.

I have a basic system in my daily driver and the camaro system sounds much better.

I use the app in my Camaro (within Android Auto). My Sirius XM primary account is for my wife's car.

The app works great and allows me to rewind or restart the current show/song in my 2017 2SS. Plus, I feel I get more consistent performance (less freezing up/cutting out) because it's connected via my Wi-Fi hotspot.

Probably would not work as well as satellite on long road trip stretches, but I don't do that many road trips these days anyway.

Might be worth trying it out...

I agree with part about no commercials on Sirius/XM but all of the "DJs" are driving me nuts. I usually listen to the oldies and classic rock, and every one of them has someone trying to show how much they know or other crap that I care nothing about. They've even moved over to the Beatles channel. Going to be hard deciding renew again.

The only reason I have renewed for both my cars is if you call retention they give you the all access package for $70/yr so $140 for both cars

Wife's SUV doesnt have car play or apple audio so she likes knowing she has the same stations no matter where she is and I like the comedy channels (comedy central and raw dog) on long drives

BTW - wife's caddy SUV does have the ability to pause/rewind broadcast radio or sirius/XM so it must have been a normal thing on the last gen infotainment units
