C8 or ZL1
Hypothetical - If someone was going to give you a C8 z51 or a Camaro ZL1 (with A10 trans) and that would be your only sports car for the next 10 years, which would you pick and why?

My knee jerk reaction is to say the C8 Z51. While plenty capable, I wouldn’t want to own it for 10 years. Only because of the impending Z06. With that being said, I was never a fan of the ZL1 so, this is kind of a catch 22. I think if I was legit stuck with it for 10 years, I’d take the ZL1—just because of how easy it is to modify and make power.

Neither it would have to be a manual if I was keeping it but if I could sell it right away and get what I want it would be the c8

I’m trying to own both. Unfortunately, my order status for a C8 HTC is sitting at 1100 so I’m going to have to wait for a 2021 build.

I picked the ZL1 because it is just about as fast, almost as good on a racetrack, easier (I think) to get in and out of, the ZL1 is a better long distance all day GT car (again I think), and it is somewhat useful as a car. So I pick more car over toy. Plus you can buy a ZL1 much cheaper. I also think the C8 will also be a depreciation magnet once C8s become more common. Of course the ZL1s also depreciate like a rock. So if I was making that choice it would be a lightly used M6 ZL1 for mid to high $40sk vs a new C8. Easy choice. I would use the money I saved to tour the world once we solve Covid 19. But then I picked an M6 LT1 over an A10 ZL1. So I am an outlier.

ZL1.
The C8 is an incredible car, but I hate the center console setup, and it would drive me crazy. Also, having had a C6 'Vette, the ZL1 is far better to live with day to day, and a better GT car without giving up much at all on the track. |

ZL-1,because maintenance on a mid engine car might turn out to be a costly nightmare, and im retiring soon.

Lack of a manual is exactly why I won't be buying a C8 in the foreseeable future.

I love both vehicles, but I would probably choose the C8 because it performs better and has a far superior interior.

I'm going ZL1 and because I own one. IMO the Corvette has now become another Eu sports car. I'm not knocking it, it's a fabulous car.
I would take the vette if you were talking about a c7 ZR1. |

ZL1 A10 1LE.
C8 is an awesome car, but I get the most joy when the little ones are in the back with me.
