GM Factory Track Alignment?

Anyone Knows more about this? Could Dealers do it, Which Dealers Could do it?

Quoted from the MT Long Term Review https://www.motortrend.com/news/2015...view-update-3/

" Around the same time as that extensive first service, we also took the Z/28 into our favorite local tire and alignment shop to have the factory recommended Track Alignment set. As it turned out, the car was delivered with the Track Alignment, but the shop noted that the owner's manual gives ranges as big as 0.5 degree plus or minus for the alignment settings, so we paid them $70 to set it to the aggressive end of the range. Unfortunately, setting the front toe requires a special tool the shop didn't have, but it was within range. "

Do you track your car a lot?

Toe will eat tires must faster than extra camber. I autocross but the same specs will work for road course. I run -2.1 degrees of camber up front and -1.1 in back. Factory stuff will max at around -2.5 to -2.7 up front and -1.5ish out back. I run I teensy bit of toe (out) in front. Something like .125 and toe (in) In back .125. Not sure if I’d want any more as tire life is more important to me.

From the Z/28 track manual. (Google it).

Take it a good alignment shop and set it, track it, then set it back afterwards. It will eat your tires.

Any one know the factory alignment setting. Can't find anything except track setting. Thanks.

Update May 8, 2020 1pm.
I called Chevy help line, they don't know the factory setting. (Said to call my dealer)
I called my dealer, they don't know the factory setting. (Said they will get back with me)
I contacted the GM performance Center. Hope they email me something.

The main reason why I want to know the factory align setting is, when I do track this car, I can make small adjustments and take notes on handling leading to the recommended factory track alignment setting. Kinda like science...if you don't know your base, you'll never find the end results.
Like this BS virus, if you don't know where it came from, you're not going to find a cure. I do have some science back ground, FYI.

K3S Auto did mine and the wife's. Super reasonable and Allen is awesome. They work on all sorts of track cars and the owner is a huge track guy.

One of the easiest ways to find out who’s real good at alignments is to find your local SCCA Autocross group and get onto their fb page. The racers there will likely have a few good options and there’s usually a few of the racers themselves that do alignments and tire changes, etc.

It’s not that I don’t trust the GM factory track alignment. It’s just that it’s too broad. Look at the toe settings on the front or rear.

They say set the toe at +.1 then + or - .2 lol. Well if my math is correct then they say to set it at anywhere from +.3 to -.1. So either toed way out or slightly toed in???? Makes no sense. Especially for someone that wants to head out for the first time. The car will behave much differently with fronts toed out versus toed in.

Factory alignment setup

Got email from Chevy. PRO FEA is factory alignment setup for 2014/2015 Z/28 during delivery. Now track alignment setting per Chevy isn't too far off if you ask me. Well here's my nickle worth. Good info to keep in file for later use.

Do adjustable camber bolts need to be installed? Has anyone installed camber plates?
