DIY Ceramic Torture Test
Waited 5 months to wash the Camaro to shoot this video. Results were surprising.

No joke about the "I'll post an update" comment. Youtube, autopia, autogeek reviews do that constantly. And when someone calls them out it's usually "oh well I forgot and put another product on"

Great video, Speedy!
Add a coat of EXOv4 to the wheels and paint and swap the pads for Powerstop z26 and you'll be glad you did. Gtechniq makes some really good stuff. Here's how mine looked at 15months: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showp...&postcount=301 |

Good info on the EXOV4...I'll check in to that.
Thanks to those who posted other comments. Very happy with these results. |

WOW! Just proves that I had a crap job done on mine. Water doesn't bead up on mine at all. It just sits there trying to sheet off. Almost 2K down the drain.

This has me interested in trying it. I've been using products like Blackfire SiO2 and Reload.
My area is predominantly agriculture, and a lot of dirt gets pulled on to our roads at intersections from AG equipment. My problem is the dust this creates when driving through these areas and how it tends to stick to my car, and unfortunately it's completely unavoidable. Does a ceramic coating reduce this tenancy for dust to stick? If so I am definitely going to give this product a shot. Speedy, what is the brand/model of the blower your using? I need something like that as well. Thanks for the review, it's helpful.

Well, I do drive through some dusty areas and you saw how the car looked after 5 months. It was dusty, but not near like it was before the ceramic and it literally sprayed off easily. Wheels were even way better than I would have thought, perhaps with a direct pressure washer on them they'd come out spotless. |

Speedy,
Thanks, much appreciated I think I'm convinced that I need to give this a shot. Do you ever blow the dust off with compressed air? If so will most of it blow off now that it's' ceramic coated? I've done that a few times but still leaves a dust film and I have a 4 and an 8 year old and don't want to risk them rubbing their fingers across the car with dust so I tend just to wash the car. If I could use compressed air to blow the car off better that would be a huge bonus.

Would this be a good option for a brand new black camaro to keep it looking clean? This is something I could do the day I bring it home. Im looking for ways to keep it looking its best for as long as I can.

This will certainly help, and make getting it clean easier for sure. Highly recommended.
