Koons is a notorious bait and switch dealer, i wouldn't hold your breath on that price being real.

Read the fine print on the dealer website. Price doesn't include the $1000 destination charge plus the $900 "processing" fee. Not sure how the price after adding those back in compares to ongoing "employee pricing for all" promotion, but wouldn't be surprised if it's pretty close. Put another way, the net price is probably pretty close to invoice price (good but not spectacular).

I just got a Wild cherry SS 1LE delivered to SoCal from ND. People like the color and style of the 6th Gen. I love the sound 🥰 Broke her in going through the mountain roads. It handles like a big go kart 👍

Congrats! She looks great.

Know what you mean about the go-kart handling. Glad I'm going to be taking mine to the track. You just can't use anywhere close to the full 1LE capability (or probably the regular SS for that matter) on public roads. But that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the NPP and have some fun on back roads!

I do know about Koons. They tried to pull some $500 rebate bs on my when I drove from NC to buy a 2014 Mustang GT. Once I whipped out the back and forth emails where he asked my address, 45 minutes later, they came off the additional $500. You're right about that price. Up around northern VA and MD, it's common for them to back out destination as well, which is right on the window sticker. Shady would be an understatement. I just love that new color on the 1LE>

Absolutely have to read all of the fine print. Quite a few dealers in Maryland will show a price that doesn't include destination and additional dealer markup. I've seen ads where the price doesn't include $2000 customer cash or 'x' amount from a trade in. I've also seen a dealer quote a price, and then say all of the cars they sell have to have Lo-Jack installed.

They almost all play some sort of add on bs game now. I can say Everette Chevy in Hickory NC where I bought mine played no bs and gave me a great deal on the 1LE and my 17 SS on trade.

Arent those prices they post all padded with every single rebate available to all different situations? Rebates that not anyone could get at the same time? Dodge dealers do this too. They throw in all the dealer cash, conquest rebates as well as chrystler capital finance rebates into their internet prices. The real price when you get there is generally several thousand higher. Its a bait and switch tactic that the MFRs support sadly.

Yeah plus vin etch and all kinds of other crap they can come up with. Then they pad the sticker with thousands of dollars for things that would cost you pennies on the dollar to do after the fact. I always say no to those things and tell the dealer to pull it all off if they dont like it. One dealer tried to charge me $1000 for some rear brake light blinker thing that they install on all of their new cars. When you step on the brake and its fast blinks " for safety ". I said yeah no take that shit off and they wouldnt until after I bought it. Needless to say I didnt pay for it and their little blinker box came off the next week. It was one of those auto zone special's for $19.99 they were trying to charge $1000 for...Ahahahaha NOPE.

I work for a dealer and it sucks the games so many play that give all of us a bad rep. It's like that with a lot of professions though, just gotta find ones you feel good about and might trust. I've bought over 60 cars (I'm a freak) and that should tell you how many dealers I've had the misfortune to deal with.
