Smoked lights pics side by side (LOVE THESE THINGS!)

Fellas,

I picked these up from GMPartshouse (they are awesome and I've been using them for YEARS). Went in FAST, but I really wanted these pics before I made my choice to buy. Maybe they will help you decide.

Now that these are on I can't believe I waited TWO HUNDRED miles to get them HAHA!

I've never understood WHY anyone would DIMINISH their light output/visibility , for the sake of cosmetics. I like the look, but doesn't it make it harder for someone to see your brake lights?

I'm on it Sir... I rarely do "looks modifications" since I'm usually buying used cars, but with this one being new and me not wanting to touch it until break in is done I have a unique opportunity haha.

These do not diminish brightness at all. They are factory GM parts and every bit as bright as the stock ones (just grey instead of red)....

I think you are mistaking these for tinted lights... They are not

that is not true..The led bulbs for the lights make it very visible to see in daylight and night. Wife was driving behind me and notice me just fine

As said the OEM smoked lights work great, it is the ones that are tinted by people that tend to be too dark and you cant see.

Thanks. I assumed they were like the older tinted lights ...that DO diminish the output. I keep forgetting we have LED's now as well. They are so much brighter than old tech, filament bulbs.

I do like the look, a nice option to have. Would look nice on a hyper blue car.

Devnull, Great look and I am now certain I have to have them. I was thinking of tinting instead but between the looks and no real loss in brightness this is the way to go. Where do I find GMPartswarehouse? I googled and looked on eBay and got a lot of similar hits.
