Listen to the vert ROAR

The vert is now running 12 psi with 761whp...or 900HP to the crank. I am going to start working on custom emblems for the 900 SS.

Pump e85 (really e70), no alky and no race fuel. This is a street tune that is perfect...but has pushed the street tires past their limit. Care is required passing or on any quick start (as in realizing the light changed, or pulling in front of traffic for a tighter fit).

I posted another thread in the FI section with the dyno also, but wanted to make sure the vert community sees the progress.

I was really looking at changing the exhaust, but as I drive it more...starting to love it as is.

This is the goal for mine soon as the warranty is up. Gonna take it to Vengeance, tell them what I want, and call me when it is done.

Looking forward to the progress. I started making changes within a couple months after buying. I did the same on a couple Vettes. I guess I figure that the modifications don’t really hurt warranty on things unrelated so I have never worried about it to much...but looking forward to your project when you get started.

Don't want anything real crazy. No alky or e85 unless necessary. If I can get 600-650 to the wheels I will be happy. I use to drag race a lot back in the day. Had several cars that would scare the shit out of you. Age changes things.

I love e85. It’s so much cheaper that it makes me a little giddy evey time I fill it up. Better for the environment, check. Cheaper, check. More power, sold. Best part is, I am able to simply pull up to the pump with no mixing...finally, look at the engine teardown comparing a motor running 93 octane and a motor running e85. Good stuff.

I do agree with you for the methanol injection. I could see adding alky injection just for the track to lower temps with the ability to advance the timing.

@chicken btw - on about 7psi, 93 octane, with Blower only, you will be in the 550-575whp on 93. That’s about where the high pressure fuel pump will start dropping off. You can certainly push it a little further, but it doesn’t make sense imho. I am not even sure you will have the room to run e85 with the LT1 fuel system.

The only downside to me for e85 is we are military and due to PCS in about 18 months. It would suck to go that route then get stuck somewhere that I don't have access to e85. Right now , one of the e85 stores in within walking distance of my house. Also, I am not against upgrading the fuel system if need be.

When you have the flex fuel sensor you can run e85 or regular...it's whatever you have access to. . .but you could have the sensor and run 93...the sensor just watches the %ethanol and adds timing accordingly. Regular fuel has about 10% ethanol.

Ok. Good to know. I am assuming the computer adjusts according to what you are feeding it.
