What should you really pay for the car?

Should you use kbb or cars.com for leverage? Or is still paying msrp a fair deal?

Paying MSRP is never a good deal, unless it's a special limited production car that is hard to get a hold of.

Check out the following link. Use that as leverage. Lorenzo Bomnin has the lowest prices in the country.

Holy crap I was looking at ther I ventory they are way cheap! And there only 2 and half hours from me. but the reason I asked is cause my dealer told me in beginning of November when I made the order they said msrp is all for a "new type of camaro" I'm sure things have changed since then

Absolutely. I mean why pay more for the same exact car.

Exactly there's no sense. It's gotta be total bs if they say msrp and that's it. I would be happy with 1000 off

This is a brand new car. No dealer is going to give you invoice pricing, let alone $1000 below invoice.

Just made an offer today - $40k out the door for a 2SS 6 speed with moonroof. Probably won't get that price but I'm patient and willing to shop that price to 20+ dealers.

Always start low and shop your price to lots of dealers. Don't bother with all those pricing services - the dealers are in on it with them. You can do better with good old fashioned hard core negotiating, shopping, and patience.

Remember, it's your money, your car. Don't fall for anything a dealer tells you..... YOU own the negotiating.

Exactly, if you're not negotiating you're losing. When I hear that some dealers don't negotiate and they say customers like it better this way, you're getting screwed on pricing. If they come up with numbers that aren't close with yours, walk away.

Do it. Doesn't hurt to try, like I did. It's your money.

People need to learn to negotiate like a boss. Be willing to walk, be patient, firm, and a little mean.

If the dealer wants your business they will budge on price.

Yes it's a new car but if someone buys the one on the floor, GM will make you another one. It ain't like these are limited production. There will always be more where they came from.

That's what THEY offered YOU...... It means they can go lower.

You need to offer THEM! Offer them their invoice out the door - including tax, title, temporary tag, and ALL dealer/doc fees.

And DON'T budge. Walk if they say no and tell them to call you when they will.
