Agreed to a hundred percent. My car will always be cool and I already suspected this upcoming writing on the wall in 2018 when I ordered mine.

Want to see a pristine example? There is this thing called a museum. Cars are also generally pretty bad investments and you could get much better returns with pretty much any good stocks.

i'm not a collector, i just want to keep it doing my 4+ track events a year for a long as i can, and not the all the daily driver miles work+kids(school, soccer, camping... etc). The discontinuation of the Camaro is different this time because it's the LAST manual transmission NA v8!

Because there will be NO more manual transmission NA V8's.... at all! I want to have a manual NA V8 for a long as i possibly can... that means buying the last new one out of the factory.

It also makes me wonder how long we will be able to get parts for these cars.

With no real upgrade aside from the A8 to A10 and maybe the Rearview Mirror Camera. The cost just is not justifiable to me. Besides there will be no HBM Color.
Yes the HBM is the best color in my opinion!

You say that but there were parts for my 2015 1LE that were discontinued and not available as recent as 2 years ago.

Everyone thinks that parts will be available for a long time but that's not really the case any more.

As said above I agree. Where is the source coming from.

I bought a '99 Z28 when the rumor came out that 2000 would be the last year. Previously I had a 79Z and a 91Z. The last year ended up being '02. I sold the car in '12 and never had a problem getting anything I needed.
I placed an order for a '22 2SS 1LE last week. We will see if it ever shows up??

So in general if a particular car/platform is discontinued does it make the car more or less valuable? or does it change nothing. We have an Impala, soon we'll own two vehicles GM doesn't make anymore.

This.

Low sales and the general trend of car design point to it happening sometime in the next few years but this is still just a bored editor posting clickbait to generate a little more meager ad revenue.
