Got confirmation from the dealer, my 2020 ZL1 takes filter # 24294355
Both the 2020 ZL1 & ZLE use the same filter, but have different pans
ZLE pan 24298919
ZL1 pan 24290872

EDIT: 30 day lead time on the 24294355 filter.............

The pan stamping is the same with same filter. When you drop the pan, the stand off tube seem a bit over 2 minutes in, is slightly shorter on the ZL1 1LE (A1Z) for a bit less (not more as commonly thought) volume. The video is not of an A1Z, but you’ll get the idea.

So for 2020 cars, the pans are the "same", only the stand off tube is shorter in the ZLE. Meaning that the ZLE A10 will have less fluid in it when set at the proper level, correct?

I have not looked up the PN's nor fluid capacities for the 19 vs. 20 pans as the Broadcast Code changed from MGL (10L90) to MI4 (10L90), but what I said was true for the 2019's at least.

Someone have a regular 10L80 or 90 pan off a car? I think I measured ~25mm on the A1Z version from the top of the pan mounting surface to the top of the stand tube. I can’t remember how many mm’s it was shorter.

I have observed at VIR on a few different ZL1s (not ZLE) when the fluid level is too high trans temps are significantly higher. If it is lowered to the "track level" the temps fall back to an acceptable reading. So, it makes sense the ZLE pan would have a "track appropriate length" stand off tube more suitable for track use.

1LE A10 pan on ZL1

So has anyone installed the 1LE pan (p/n: 24298919 on the ZL1 A10 yet? I have 17 ZL1 that I do track and it has had some shifting problems when it’s been hot and I’m using the 1LE 3R tires. Thanks.

I installed 24298919 when I did the last fluid change.
I wasn't having any shifting issues prior, but felt better doing the change as a preventative measure.
I did not verify if the 2020 pans are the same as the 2019 and earlier pans, so verify before you buy the 24298919 pan

Something else, at least for the '20 and up transmissions

The filter bolts are aluminum and single use only. Available in kit # 24298876.

OMG, what a nightmare..... So when I take delivery of my new ZL1 here in Bangkok, I’m gonna have to do this myself. Because there’s no way in hell they know how to do this correctly.

If you are just driving your car on the street, your service interval is much longer (45k miles, 72k km) on the severe schedule which most of us should admit we fall under

The other posted links work fine for me. Weber State University Department of Automotive Technology is an amazing source. I would strongly recommend watching all of their relevant videos on GM and Camaro cars if you will be doing your own maintenance.

TSB 040601029J, 28Feb2020 states that only a drain and fill for the transmissions, do not flush or fill using the cooling lines.
