Best way to disable DRLs?

I have done some searches but can't see to find a good solution to disable my DRLs. I have currently concluded that disconnecting the bulbs is the best option. Are there any better options?

Don't have a ZL1 but my 2SS had DRL. Hated the way they looked so thats what I did, unplugged them. Havent looked back since

Some say you can cut the spring that the light knob is on that way it wont auto flip back to automatic lights, but that seems like a lot of work when you can just unplug them.

I looked all over for a solution myself, it doesn't seem anyone really figured it out. I talked to a mechanic that works on BMWs and suggested purchasing a Tech 2 and CANdi device MAY allow you to do it but that was looked like a $600 venture I wasn't interested in.

I think I figured out the best way for my 2010 non RS car that keeps the auto headlights. Ordered the parts and planning to try it this weekend. If it works I may decide to sell it as a kit. The RS package has an adapter that turns the DRLs into fog lights, but I am not sure if it eliminates the DRL.
