Purchased this and planning on porting it. Should have done si before buying it, but just want to verify, this a genuine LT2 manifold right? ACDelco?

Thank you

That should be, its the correct GM part number. I would not worry about it.

What’s the latest on being able to fit the foam under the intake manifold? If all the fins are shaved, it will work?

It will fit with a little trimming of the foam

I plan to use that in conjunction with the OEM foam trimmed

The foam fits with minor trimming around the hpfp. I trimmed the manifold plastic down in-between the ports as I wanted to keep as much of the foam. I will say as well that I don't have any injector noise.

I am looking into the 95 mm TB LT2 IM combo from GPI. If in the future I wanted to get a Pro Charger, would it work out with those mods?

Thanks essmotorsports. As far as noise is concerned, I did a back to back this weekend, No foam and foam.

The foam definitely reduced the ticking to the point of the factory level. Heat transfer is unknown, I would imagine the air gap would be better than the foam. So perhaps the foam heat soaks the manifold more.
As for sound though, no doubt, the foam(minimally trimmed) works and worth the effort

I chucked the foam, agree air gap and thin heat shield would be better. Unless sound is a concern (foam) does nothing to block heat, might even retain it some, but guessing not my area of expertise...

Now I have a nice wide air gap between valley tray and intake.

Agree no foam is better for heat, I didn’t hear ANY ticking without the foam until I recently started really quieting down my exhaust
