NEW GLOVES FOR 2022

gotta buy a new headsock and gloves for 2022 and been trying to figure out what to buy? my buddy told me omp one x makes nice ones and my old ones are alpinestars but shit is impossible to get

was probably just gonna go sparco to match my seat/harness

what do you guys have any recommend to look at?

gotta get a new helmet also but thats $$$$

Was an Alpinestars loyalist in my motorcycle days, but OMP seems a better value/quality these days.

yea i ordered some back in febuary and cancelled an order in may due to no eta

went to shop on saturday to try on some gloves and they only had xxl or small haha this sucks

I have the Sparco Tide gloves and love them. Super lightweight and comfy; easily my favorite gloves of everything I've used to date.

As for helmet, I recently got a Stilo ST5 GT that I also like a lot. Comes in carbon or composite shells (composite costing about half as much for just a tiny bit more weight) and has ports for coms and hydration if you use either of those.

I can 2nd both the helmet and gloves in this post. This is the setup I have, as soon as I tried on those gloves I knew I was buying them. They were so much better than the rest I tried on.

yea they had a few stilo helmets in stock saturday one of them was the full cf one about $5000 or so lol crazy and thanks guys ill probably go down to sparco store on my next day off need a new headsock also

SPARCO Tide gloves are what I've used since last year
Save money by purchasing a Bell M8 carbon fiber helmet over the Stilo
Lightweight, super comfortable,large field of view and easy to put glasses on

I can also vouch for the Sparco Tide gloves. Super comfortable and really grippy. A lot better than my old Alpinestars gloves.

still never got my alpine star gloves i ordered back in feb so i had to cancel them and got some new sparco tide gloves yesterday got to use them in 1 session yesterday and set a new pb ! now i gotta get new headsock and hopefully new cf helmet next year

Just a quick question: Are gloves required in some racing, or do you wear them for more consistent steering wheel grip?

not required its a personal preference i know some fast guys that dont wear them for hpde but actually track days like nasa/scca require them

with the oem leather wheel its not needed but with the 1le/zl1 wheel i prefer them
