Trifecta tune for SS A8?

My warranty is up soon, so it's time to mod. Has anyone gotten the Trifecta tune on their SS? I see lots of people talking about their V6 and I4 tunes, but not much on the V8 side.

Gains on a stock SS are really not worth it for the money.

Better to do a few mods like intake, E85, headers and then get a dyno tune.

As for their claims that you don't need to unlock the TCM to tune it, as I understand it, that is true for the 2016's but 2017's and up DO need to be unlocked. Maybe I am wrong but this is what my tuner told me when I got dyno tuned.

I'm not concerned with power as much as drivability, throttle response, and of course the transmission tuning. Luckily I have a 16 so we're good on the unlock.

E85 is really tempting. My state has E85 at some stations so it may be something to look into.

I wouldn’t touch Trifecta with a 10’ pole. When you’re ready to start making power they will not be able to help you. Get HP Tuners and learn the basics, then get in touch with a good tuner who can help you as your build grows.

I have no plans beyond the tune. At most, I would add the LT2 intake manifold, but beyond that I would just buy a ZL1.
