Super nice! Not knowing much about the GTO, what does that car have for power stock vs whatever you may have done?

Love the cars AND the background for the GTO. Is that sign at the restaurant in Howell?

Should be a Pontiac 400 motor w/ 4 barrel carb. I think they stopped offering tripower in '67. There was a regular version and an HO motor. Both I think were in the 330 - 360 hp stock range from the factory.

No, That was at the Wooly Bullys bar and restaurant in Clinton Township on Groesbeck Highway between 15 & 16 Mile Road. It's been closed for many years now. The original location was in Detroit on the East Side.
This shot was taken in the early 1990's with my old medium format film camera.

It was an all original numbers matching car when I bought it in the 1980's.
I was the third owner.
It spent most of its life in Georgia before coming to Michigan. Could still see the red dust in the under carriage.
It came with the base 400 cid 335 horsepower 4 barrel engine with THM 400 automatic trans. They did offer an H.O. 366 horsepower 4 barrel "ram air" engine as well as a four speed manual transmission.
I pulled the original engine, put it aside for safe keeping. I built a thirty over 455 cid Pontiac engine for it. I also replaced the 4 barrel carb with a 1966 Tri-Power set up. Installed a shift kit in the THM trans. It had a 3.55 posi rear end. Other than the Tri-Power, It looked completely stock under the hood. 1966 was the last year Pontiac offered tri-power.
It ran really nice. Did well at the drags. Won the Stock Eliminator class at the Pontiac Tri-Power Nationals at Norwalk Raceway Park in Ohio after placing second the year before. (I red lighted in the final round ). Ran the monthly Royal Pontiac Club Of America drag series at Milan Dragway in Michigan. Won and was runner-up at a few of those events.
It also did quite well in the car show circuit. Won outstanding in class at the 1995 Detroit Autorama. Took 3rd place at the GTO Nationals the year the G.T.O.A.A event was held in Pontiac, Michigan. I sold the car in 2004. Got back in to Corvettes for a while.
Got back into (modern) muscle cars currently with the 2019 ZL1.

My old 2018 and someone else’s 69

I always thought the 18 Hot Wheels was the embodiment of old school muscle in the modern Camaro
