Thank you, yes car picked up quite a bit with minimal mods.
Thinking of pulling the seats out and waiting for better DA and trying to chase a 6 sec pass with this same set up

Pulling the seat is worth about 60 lbs and that might get you close with good air. I ran 11.12@125 w/1.61 my last time out on stock wheel setup with Nitto 555r2 drag radials. Next time out I'll have my drag pack so that will save me about 55 lbs. I ran my best 1/8 mile of 7.18@97 so I'm working on my tune and adding 1 degree of timing from 1000 rpms to 4000 so I'm thinking between the 2 changes I'll get close to the 10s and really low 7s. Good luck on your next time out and hope you make it to the 6s. Congrats again on a great pass.

The only track near me is a 1/8 so that’s what I have to stick with for now.
I know a 6.9 pass is a 10 sec pass so that’s why I’m chasing a 6 lol
I have 2 rear drag packs, my daily one and track only one. On the daily one I run a Nitto 555R2 I haven’t tried them at the track in fear of wasting my time and not having traction. I know the Et Street Rs will always hook. I’m not to impressed with the 555R2s so far they hardly hook on the street even from a Roll. Not sure if that’s normal but I’ve tried going full throttle at around 20mph in first gear on them and they have 0 traction the car immediately goes sideways
A 1.61 60’ is very impressive on the Nittos! What PSI do you run them at?

I run about 19 to 20 psi. I've driven mine 330 round trip to the track and let the air down to 20 and raced all day and air them back up to 30 and come home. Great tire and will probably handle up to about 650 to 700 rwhp. Not sure what they'll do after that. I ran the Rs on my 16 Camaro and it made over 850 and always did a good job. I thought about those on my C7 but decided to stay with the Nitto's since I don't plan to go over about 600 rwhp on this car. I drive it a lot on the street and I'm not ruining it like I did the Camaro. Plus I won 1000.00 bucks last year at one NMCA race as Nitto pays really good contingencies and I have another one of those races in May. Hope to repeat with another win and Nitto paying off again.

Irwindale Dragstrip

The car had just over 500 miles. Didn’t think it would hook with those little 245/40/20 tires, but wheelspin wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I managed to lay down 3 passes in 7.8 range . All I did was air down the tires to 20psi and launched off idle. 91 octane shit California gas. DA was 2000 for the first 2 passes and 1300 for the last one .
Hit 93mph on the last pass. I’m thinking that with a decent tire the car would drop 2 tenths . Is this a normal timeslip for this car or is it on the slow side ?

I was there that night, 7.8s @92-93 all night is quick Forsure. Back when my car was stock it did 7.9s consistently but only trapped 90. 92/93 is solid IMO.
Can’t wait to go back when they open in January.

Oh damn . I didn’t realize this was you. I think I spoke to you.
So you ended up going 7.2. That’s quick bro. Congrats . I’m working on getting some drag radials, flexfuel sensor , and a tune so it’s ready for January. It was nice meeting you btw.
