Can you post up some info on that 35 profile tire in the wheels and tire thread? I’m curious to see how they are doing it as i simply don’t think there is the space for that under the 1LE / ZL1 spring perch. There’s only about 9mm worth of room over the stock 285/30 tire, and a 285/35 is nearly 13mm taller sidewall height.
So, **some** 285/35/20's will work. Not all. It depends on the exact tire manufacturer and model. I've tested 275/35/20's (GY F1 had plenty of space and Conti ECS had very little) that were mm's from the front strut's spring mount and 285/35/20's (Pirelli's) that would NOT fit ( unless you used a large spacer to push the wheel/tire out and had no negative camber).

One way you can sort-of make a judgement on this is to go to Tire Rack and look at the rev/mile number (this number is specific tire related, where section width and diameter are sort of "standard" measures). Compare between the factory SS GY F1 245/40/20 rev/mile and whatever brand you are looking at. If the rev/mile is higher or about the same, you are good. If the rev/mile of the tire you are looking at is lower, be mindful the tire may not clear. Also, a more "stretched" a tire on a wheel, can gain you a little bit over a "pinched" (i.e. 275 on a 10" wheel vs. 275 on a 9.5" wheel).

Conti ECS 275/35/20
vs.
GY Eagle F1 AS3 245/40/20 and 275/35/20

FYI, I've seen people post that BFG Comp 2 A/S and Conti ECS in 285/35/20 are clearing for them, but every post I've seen with pictures indcates they aren't running much (if any at all) negative camber. FYI, those tires run 746/745 rev/mile respectively. Unfortunately, Tire Rack doesn't have the rev/mile specs posted for any Pirelli 285/35/20 for me to compare to.

Correct, i try to take this approach with all tires as the rollout is more important than the overall diameter. I guess i shouldn't have made the blanket statement that all 35 sidewall would not fit, just the bigger ones

Tires installed.

ended up going 285/35/20 305/35/20
Had to remover driver rear finder liner and reroute the harness.
All back together now with ZERO rubbing. Looks great with no fender gap, thick sidewall tire, and fantastic ride control. The tire isn't overly sticky and is nice a quiet.

Good to know we can run a 285/35 on the front w/o rubbing.

Sweet! At 747 rev/mile, those 285/35/20s should clear with little or no camber. Throw up some pictures!

I’ve ran 2 sets of the Indy 500s on my 2014 Mustang GT. They were Great tires. My only complaint would be the sidewalks were a little soft. Besides that they were great. Especially for the price! Good luck man!

Just want to say I have these on my 1LE with no issues.

Excellent! I do assume you had to relocate the wiring harness in the rear, or no?

I did not have to relocate anything. They fit fine and no rubbing at all. up front they are close but in the rear they are fine

Where’s your front camber at?

Might want to keep an eye on the driver rear liner - mine has some very minor wear just with the stock wheels/tires.
