Dude i worked this sup'd up rustang so bad a couple weeks ago...tried to to get the jump on me coming up from behind....i dusted him then slowed down to do just what you said...but the guy refused to pull up next to me We were actually going under the speed limit...but he just wouldnt pull up next to me...beautiful!

I don't daily drive & have this problem like most here are describing, but the ones that try certainly would be like me if I didn't own & saw one at a light. Can only assume they simply want to see her launch...so, those who are currently ribbing me are like newer 1/2 ton trucks & the like.

I have yet to see another ZL1 in the Rio Grande Valley besides another member here at the one coffee & cars he invited me to with a 1LE.

When I drive a vette (doesn't matter, C5, C6, OR C7), I am ALWAYS challenged by V6 Honda Accords.

With the Camaro's it's usually Mustangs and Challengers.

It's the Accords that get me. I'm not sure what those dudes think they have under the hood, but a 'peppy' car is never going to take a fast car...

Around here it's big ass (lifted) pick ups. They'll pull up next to me and then throttle down and speed away. Impressive. Not. Every now and then a young kid in a V6 this or V8 that will mess w/ me. I don't take them seriously...more than likely they just want to see/hear what mine can do.

And.. remember....most w/ 300+ hp think they have a fast car. They really have no clue.

This was a funny thread, but yes thats me in a stockish silverado wanting to hear your car sing! Id say works 50% of the time.

Sure it is, if they get the drop on your or have AWD to have that faster 0-30. Once you are screaming through 60mph or more you may have gotten the drop on them, but who are the cops going to pull over at that point? You'll look like a fool even though you'll pull them forever on the top end. If they can beat you off the line at a stoplight, they can take you, that is why you don't let those people race you, they can do their 5K clutch drop or whatever and scream ahead to the next stoplight.
