Has anyone installed a blowoff valve on their car?
I was thinking of installing a blowoff valve but im afraid it would trigger a CEL. Has anyone done it? If so, what is your experience?
Thanks |

I see you have a 2.0t. What is the purpose of the BOV? Are you looking for more sound? This is usually a function of factory silencing and not the BOV. If you need to hold back a bunch more pressure, like you are running a bigger turbo, then it can make sense to install a better one.

Just a thought coming from a previous STI/EVO owner. Most cars require a tune for aftermarket BOV because they can hold pressure a lot better than their stock counter part and, this is a big and a BOV vents to the atmosphere and does not recirculates the air, while the BPV recirculates the air. I would assume the Camaro uses a BPV that recirculates the air.

I'd jump into the I4 section of the forums. Certainly a more appropriate area.
