Never understood people paying Over Sticker! A friend of mine bought a C5 Corvette for $20k over Sticker when they came out. I don't his Widow got $20k for the car when she sold it.

$70K back then was a shitload of money.

I ordered my 1999 C5 Vert and paid 49K. That was a shitton of money.

I am local to that dealer and drove by last week when I happened to be in the area. They seem to be selling them at those markups :-(

A new C8 vert had apparently just arrived as well.....at $35k over MSRP.

When you put a C7 next to C8, the C7 looks very dated -- especially the interior. It's a car you definitely have to see in person. They could have done a better job with the rear and side styling, but it's a very good looking car in person.

I bought my Camaro from Dimmitt.

As for $126,000 for a car that will be worth $50,000 next year when you can get one below MSRP or maybe even invoice. NO thank you.

Hmm, I have to say that the C8 interior doesn't look the most attractive to me, but I will reserve judgement as I haven't driven one. The C7 interior is pretty good IMO. I enjoyed mine while I had mine.

I have seen a few in person. I like the front a lot while the rear takes some getting used to for me. I wouldn't say C7 looks dated beside a C8, especially if you are "blind", which means if you don't know which model is actually newer. Once you do, then bias kick in and you start to perceive C7 as dated even if it isn't.

I ended up getting mine at Autonation in St. Pete just 15 min down the street from Dimmitt as they had a 2021 LT1 and Dimmitt didnt....Dimmitt is a little closer to home. Autonations deal was too good to pass up anyway and the car literally was offloaded from the trailer when I signed on it.

I agree....GM will make as many of these cars as people will buy. Why wouldnt they? That means instant depreciation once the hype calms down and all the early adopters have already bought one.

Maybe in 4 years when used prices are mid 50's. If they have the problems like the C7 did for 4 years then i will pass. That dealer is just south of me and i call it dammit Chevy.

Harley was doing this for years. Empty showrooms and guys lining up with deposits. Ridiculous inflated prices. Used to nauseate me to see guys that would otherwise never own a bike paying outrageous pricing and leaving them in the garage. Then trying to sell them at a profit... quoting serial numbers as though they were Ferraris.
Most ultimately ended up sold to a grateful secondary market who would actually ride them... Years later with 1500 miles on them.
The real draw for the C-8 is that its a credible supercar from the U.S. for $60,000. For a buck ten they are in a whole different weight class....
Ill pass.
