A few days before Christmas Dec 2004 a few select GM Card holders were mailed a $5000 off certificate toward a leftover 2004 GTO or SSR. Incoming 2005 vehicles were given a 50HP boost with the MSRP remaining the same so who would willingly purchase the 04's? Dealer discounts were already massive.
At the same time GM was also offering a $5500 off incentive. Thus some had $10,500 off before huge dealer discounts came into play on a 32K MSRP car. I didn't need a car, money was tight from Christmas and my wife thought I'd lost my mind but I purchased a Pulse Red GTO 6SPD on the final day of the offer for $17,300 out the door with all TTL included. I drove it for 2 years & 27k miles, hit a huge mule deer in NH and still traded it in(2006 GTO) for $18,000 netting an absolutely FREE 2004 GTO |

Any new lease deals out there? It may be winter but at least a few folks MUST be leasing these cars.

Im flipping trying. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want that dual mode exhaust if Im going with the V6 but man, dealers really suck at ordering it. Within 500 miles there are THREE 1LTs with RS and NPP. About 75 with RS but no NPP.

Your looking for an odd combo, a stripper 1LT with NPP. Very unlikely you will find it on any dealer lot unless a customer order got cancelled. You could expand it to a 2LT and your chances of finding NPP will definitely go up. Then maybe ask the dealer to make you a deal on the 2LT to convince you not to place an order for the 1LT you want. Depending on how long the car has been on the lot and how hungry the dealer is, you might get a deal you can live with.

Plus, not many 2LTs have the NPP either. I'd say that of all the LTs I've looked at only about 15% of them have the NPP ordered on them. Hell, even on the stock dealer orders for SS only about 25% of them have the NPP as well. Very strange. Price difference goes from about $270-280/mth to well over $400/mth from the 1LT to a 2LT. |

And....just got word back. Take delivery on Friday. Dealer trade for a 1LT.
Summit white, M6, RS and NPP with the infotainment package. Deal will be right under $300 with taxes IIRC. They didn't add in my bonus points correctly on the sheet of paper I've got. |

Nope. Only a two car garage. Having the two year lease will give it time for the Camaro team to release what I really want and to allow me to save up a pretty good down payment on it as well.
It's truly a win win. GTO is 10 years old now and it's showing a tad. Might as well sell it to get the money out of it now rather than wait while its value falls due to the 5th gen becoming more available every day. |
